Meet Chax
I’m Nhlanhla Phala aKa Chax, born in Orlando East Soweto south of Jozi on the18 June 1979.and moved to Alexandra at the age of one. I am a father to a beautiful daughter Kutlwano.I love and fear the power of God, My family and friends.
I started my music journey as a young boy at the age of 17, my love for music grew stronger in the early 90”s.And in the year 2000 I got signed by 999 music and released my first album Alex2G with the hit Gidhe”s bekane at the time when kwaito was still big. My second album shona langa went to greater highest and I got featured on some of Arthur Mafokate’s songs.I wrote two song for the king of kwaito called Izinto zase lokshin and shaya lento I got featured on the late Zombo’s album Mduduzi which was a hit and even got featured on TV shows like Jam Alley,Yo TV and Ezimtoti,We went on tour which was organized by Smoothies for three months.
Meet DJ Quest
I’m France Africa aKa Dj Quést, born and bred in Alexandra township north of Jozi 29 Nov 1974. I’m the first of two children of my fathers flock. A father to Thabiso and his lovely sister Thabang and a humble man to their patient mother Portia. I love and fear the power of God, My family and friends.
I started my music journey as a young zestful pianist at the Thusong Youth Center in the early 90’s, my love for music grew stronger in 1994 when we formed a kwaito crew called BMFan. It was my self, mega (Dark city productions) Blessing, Motlatsi and Arthur (Octave productions. This project introduced me to the industry’s gurus. The project was produced by the legendary Dj Christos and Dj Static P under Phat Kats Records. By then kwaito was still growing and we were suckers for the new wave. we got to work with MDC, Daddy and Xacs. With this project we rocked the Rhythm Nation Tour in S A and went on to shake Swaziland and Lesotho.
